Blood Bowl Match Report: Red Anvils vs. FC Vislanders XII

It is the start of a new era: Chaos Dwarf team Red Anvils has opened Blood Bowl home stadium!

This playing field has been on the works for quite a while, it's a two part construction, first there was the Dugout and then the pitch itself.

The first visitor to the new dwarf stadium was FC Vislanders XII Lizardman team. This starting team had full six Saurus lizards and Kroxigor on the roster. With inducements they bought the services of Slibli - the infamous star player of the reptile folk - for this game.

The Hashut blessed the first game with huge blizzard - Sure Feet skill on the Bull centaurs would come in handy.

Red Anvils started with usual left hook wedge formation, but the dwarfs soon found out the hard way that even newbie Lizard team can play some mean ball with all those ST 4 guys...

Only the strong pills of the apothecary saved Minotaur from death after being fouled by Saurus gang. Soon after that the hired gun Slibli killed the most experienced hobgoblin: Xobt Evilstench, number 9 in midfield. The fast scoring greenskin will be missed - but maybe this was the blood baptism needed for the new pitch.
The game was just bashing all thru first half - no touchdowns but lot of casualtys. On the second half Lizards started to form the cage around the only surviving Skink with the ball - but it was busted by Bull centaur blitz.
After the Minotaur was saved by the apothecary the Anvils Injured box was kept clean - dead hobgoblin slave was buried where he fell, under the stone slabs of midfield.
On the 15th turn the Red Anvils hobbo number 10 made the matches only touchdown, winning the game for the dwarfs. MVP went to the Claw mutation Blocker (nro 3), he sure revenged the hell out of Lizards.

The Mighty Zug - Sculpt

Undercoat with Valejo white, Green stuff parts still looking bit darker.

After some time when the milliput has set, adding more detail with Green stuff. Basing with Citadel Texture Astrogranite paint.

Some more detail with Milliput, knee pads and the like.

First very crude layer on Super Fine White Milliput.

Basic pose with wire and first layer of Green stuff - this putty has better "sticky" quality than Milliput so it has good grip even on metal.

Blood Bowl Match Report

After the long summer break the Blood Bowl season is finally starting!

Played two games against the new Norse team (seen in all black undercoat jerseys), first with Chaos Dwarfs and then with my old Wicked Willows Dark Elf team.

Cage is tightly packed and Bull Centaurs are leading the attack from the front.

Damn those double skulls! They made me lose this match to the all black Norse team 1-2.

My Chaos Dwarf team history in the making: First touchdown with basic roster lineup!
Minotaur (miniature courtesy of Jani, thanks) has pounded all Norse opposition to the ground and Bull Centaur acts as fail-safe. Hobgoblins finally manage to throw and catch without messing it up. Most Valuable Player Award went to the scoring hobgoblin, so he is the first of the green skins to level up. In the previous games playing as team value underdog gave me inducement money to hire star players and they made all the goals.

The second match gave huge inducement payoffs to the Norse team, and here the hired gun Icepelt Hammerblow meets head on with Dark Elf lines lead by the Kruellagh Witch elf. This game saw many fast two turn goals: the game was 2-2 after the first period, both teams scoring in rapid succession.

In the final turn of the second half Dark elf Runner only had to make one extra Go For It square to score the winning touchdown... but the dice gave the infamous number 1 and Wicked Willows fans had to settle for the close call tie 3-3. All in all, the last game was great fast paced fun - and it could have gone for either of the teams.

Ugroth Bolgrot - Wash done

Pilkoin ton Rat Ogren suojuksen kolmeen osaan josta käytin laitimmaiset palat.
Tässä toinen paloista paikoillaan.

Langasta sahan kahvaan köydentapaista ja Rat ogre paketista ylijääneestä olkatoppauksesta lisää BB fiilistä.

Ugroth Bolgrot - Maalaamisen alkua

Perusvärejä sutaistu pintaan ja sahaankin laitettu vasta pohjamaali.

Ugroth Bolgrot - Detaljia

Kuplavolkkari koottavan ylimääräisistä kromiosista lisää yksityiskohtia.

Ugroth Bolgrot - GS muotoilun alkua

Hahmottelua GS:sta.

Ugroth Bolgrot - tukiranka

Sahasta pitää saada kunnon kokoinen joten väänsin ulottuvaisuuden ensin rautalangasta. Käden luonnostelua GS:tä.

Ugroth Bolgrot - skalppi laulaa

Ugroth Bolgrot - pora laulaa

Tämähän uppoaa kuin... vanhan örkin hihaan.

Ugroth Bolgrot - modauksen alkutilanne
