Bossk - Ready

The position on the foosball table for Bossk: the right side of the defense.

This the part where the damage from the ball lands mostly - the paint job on the legs is gonna be ruined soon enough...

Bossk - Sculpt

After the Milliput was dry: added the lizard skin parts with Green Stuff and fastened the model sprue bits with wire that goes thru the legs.

Basic sculpt with Milliput Superfine White, with some added details from left over model kit sprue.

Old Kenner figure for comparison - the new head a bit more sinister. The color range is also somewhat limited with this 1980s figure.

Head on some shoulders glued in with four wire pins.

The pilot pants have these strips that give better balance and strength with wire build into them.

Another Galactic Heroes figure goes under the knife. Bossk figure even had one point of articulation on the left hand: the weapon moves from shoulder joint.

Han Solo Hoth - Ready

Rebels forward setup is ready with three top scorers, from left to right: Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian.

First modified figure with bolt and nut attachment to the table.

Inwash: Citadel Ogryn Flesh, both the jacket and the belt.

Pinning some wire to keep the balance - nobody likes top heavy figures. Ooh, but that terracotta Milliput looks a bit like Han could change the underwear...

Soft plastic of Galactic Heroes makes it easy to harvest even some of the smaller details. And in the old Kenner line Han had a holster - must have it in the soccer field too.

Some pockets sculpted on the front and on the sleeves.

Pressing the Milliput hard to hit every crevice for added damage resistance.

To make the surface ready for Terracotta Milliput I scratched it with saw.

Han Solo Hoth - Pinning

Used metal wire to pin the Galactic Heroes bit on foosball figure. It needed some stretching to fit and the rubbery material proved to be a good choice again.

Sawing and drilling the original head out of the way.

The big Pez heads were bit out of scale, and while these Galactic Heroes figures are quite small in stature, but heads seemed to fit foosball figures pretty ok.

Harvesting parts was easy because of the soft plastic they make the Galactic Heroes out of. Scalpel cuts the stuff really smoothly and I think the damage caused by the ball is somewhat absorbed by the rubbery material.

Here we go - after a loooong break back on foosball figure building. Finding a used table in flea market ment that I could get more spare parts for the Star Wars themed custom table that has been out of service for a while. Another issue was that Star Wars Pez heads lineup has been used up and I was looking for different toy manufacturer. I found these Hasbro’s Galactic Heroes figures had somewhat similar, bit "funny" approach to the Star Wars world.
